The opposite of faith is not doubt.. it is certainty. I heard this on a podcast by Dr. OZ

I have been away a while.

This summer went by in a flash. There is so much that has happened, I could probably write a book. After Laura's wedding we spent a few days together alone and we went to Disneyland for a day.

We went and stayed at Sophia's for a few days and Roelof helped them with the room upstairs and the pantry. I spent some time with the kids and kept my exercise up.

We Came home the back way and it was a really peaceful drive. I totally enjoyed it.

Roelof and Adriaan continued to work on the basement, and I helped a neighbor train his dog. He was totally wild with no manners. He kind of reminded me of my old dog dusty, when I was a kid.

I kept looking for a job and ended up finding the cute great dane puppy in the classifieds. Isn't he the cutest! No I didn't get him.

The weather started changing and got cooler. We had another special event at daybreak with the opening of our North Shore. Now we have a little beach and we had caterers come and serve us some pretty wonderful food. But the storm kicked up and blew like crazy but by then we were safe inside at one of the models with my friend Maria and her daughter Rachel. (one of Roelof's students.)

September came in and Sophia and Elena, and Ethan Celebrated Birthdays.
(More pictures to follow about these birthdays). Flowers for Elena from Liliaan.

Then I got a job at Kennecott Copper and have been working now for a full week. I am a receptionsist and work in a little place called copperton. It reminds me of Ramah somehow. I guess because I pass a cemetary like the one they have there.

Last Weekend Roel and I headed for the hills on the Motorcycle and enjoyed the peaceful views at Brighton.

My next blog will probably be about our finished Basement! Stay tuned for more pictures!

My Pictures from Laura's Wedding-Congratulations!

It is really hard to take a picture of the temple when you are this close! It is sooo beautiful.

They had some really fun photographers with lots of good ideas.

Here is a pose just for me.

I had to get a close up of the back of her dress, I thought it was beautiful.

The Following were some of my favorite scenes from the day.

Laura Danced so beautifully for her husband.

He looked really surprised.

Visit from the Bates

ETHAN
OLIVIA
PHOEBE

REGINA

Here are 4 of my grandkids. They are all growing up so fast. Ethan will be 8 this year. Olivia told me she was going to 1st grade this year. She will be 6 in November. Phoebe turned 4 on August 5th. They went to Bear Lake with Derek's family.
Regina is 16 months and is so cute. She is walking and trying to communicate. She is fun and easy to care for.

We had Phoebe open her present right before bed time. We got her a Sleeping Beauty crown from Disney World. She seemed to be happy to have it.
I enjoyed having them here even though Olivia and Phoebe came down with a 24hr Bug. They slept for one day and were great the next. I enjoyed my talks with Sophia and Derek and will see them again on the way back from Bear Lake.
I love having kids around because they are so honest. It gives me a reality check.
One morning Ethan came to our bed and was talking to us and he looked over at me and said, "You look like and old man with hairs on his chin". HA!HA! Way to start your day.

Road to the Temple

I love to see the Sunrise

I like to get up and go walking in the Summer. I find that If I walk everyday, I stay more flexible and I feel better. These are some pictures of my walk to the Temple.

We pass under this tunnel number 1. And then Tunnel number 2.

We like to go through the tunnels so we don't have to walk on the busy street. Maya comes with me and she loves to jump in the water when there is some.(Usually after the rain.) By this time she is ready for a drink

We usually stop at this Ampitheatre to let Maya run around. I just sit and enjoy the view.

This would be a nice place for Adriaan to have a concert of his music.

At the top of the hill we reach the Temple. Maya and I take off and pick a different route everyday or so. Today she wanted to lead the way, this is our favorite route.
